Lingbi County Market Supervision Bureau conducted a special inspection of mooncake overpackaging for the holiday market under GB 23350-2021, checking packaging layers, void ratio, materials and mixed packaging.
Recently, the Lingbi County Market Supervision Bureau organized a special inspection of mooncake overpackaging in the holiday market. The inspection targeted mooncakes sold in the holiday market, aiming to urge operators to fulfill their primary responsibilities and protect consumers' legitimate rights and interests.
Enforcement officers acted in accordance with the mandatory national standard "Requirements for Restricting Excessive Packaging of Commodities - Food and Cosmetics" (GB 23350-2021), focusing on checking whether mooncake gift box packaging exceeds 3 layers, whether the packaging void ratio meets the standard, whether packaging uses precious metals or rosewood materials, and whether mooncakes are mixed with other products.
During the inspection, enforcement officers publicized national laws and regulations restricting excessive packaging to operators, urging them to effectively fulfill their primary responsibilities, operate lawfully and in good faith, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
The Lingbi County Market Supervision Bureau reminded consumers that when purchasing mooncakes and other holiday consumer goods, in addition to carefully checking the product name, manufacturer name and address, ingredient list, production date, shelf life, and food production license number, they should also practice a green and thrifty consumption concept, consciously resist high-price speculation and excessive packaging, and jointly create a healthy, environmentally friendly and orderly holiday market environment.
Next, the Lingbi County Market Supervision Bureau will continue to increase patrol efforts in the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday market, keep complaint and reporting channels open, promptly accept and handle consumer disputes, and ensure the public enjoys a safe and peaceful Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday.
